The nearly continuous migration of people from all countries has created, in the United States, the basis for a multicultural society that transcends the ordinary boundaries currently dividing most other countries and cultures in the world. The potential exists for far-reaching initiatives to effectively put an end to a major source of global conflict and create healthier economic relations internally as well as internationally.
Choosing out of higher motivation is really about thought or consciousness determining form, instead of tacitly allowing existing forms to determine consciousness and thoughts. What if Americans openly addressed and recognized our common spiritual values and ethics and made "walking the talk" our first priority as individuals and as a country? Any country or society that "walks its talk" in this manner will be recognized as a genuine leader of humanity and not cautiously viewed as its dominator. This is not about modifying our old paradigm forms and expecting them to serve entirely new purposes. It is more like reaching into the well of one's own spirit, of one's own higher self, to help a new future emerge into the present for everyone to see, participate in, and create together. This is what can create a positive future that works for everyone.
We have the means. Let's use our hearts and minds to make it happen.
